Neural stem cells are self-renewing cells found in germinal regions of the developing and adult brain that can generate both neurons and glia. Neural stem cells are of particular interest as a potential therapeutic tool for neurological disorders, to repair tissue injury due to neurological disorders, stroke or traumatic brain injury.
