c-Src Tyrosine Kinase

Liquid. In 150 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 0.25 mM DTT, 0.1 mM EDTA, 0.1 mM EGTA, 0.1 mM PMSF, 25% glycerol, pH 7.5. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Full-length, recombinant, human CSK (Genbank accession number = NM_004383) fused at the N-terminus to GST and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. CSK is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase that regulates several cellular processes including downregulation of the tyrosine kinase activity of c-Src. Specific activity: ≥362 nmol/min/mg protein. Kinase activity is measured as the nanomolar amount of phosphate incorporated into Poly(Glu-Tyr) substrate at 30°C using a concentration of 50 µM ATP (0.83 µCi/assay). Purity: >85% by SDS-PAGE.
