EPH-related tyrosine kinase receptor B4 Liquid. In 100 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 5 mM DTT, 20% glycerol, pH 8.0 AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human EPHB4 fused at the N-terminus to a GST-His6-thrombin cleavage site sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. EPHB4 is a member of the tyrosine kinase family and is normally expressed in endothelial and neuronal cells. Ephrin-B ligands undergo phosphorylation on conserved inracellular tyrosines upon interaction with receptors. Aberrant expression of EPHB4 has been reported in prostate cancer and highly malignant breast cancers. Specific activity: ≥60 U/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to transfer 1 nmol phosphate to Poly(Glu,Tyr)4:1 per min at 30°C, using variable concentrations of ATP (100 nM to 1.71 µM).
