Recombinant, human IRAK4 fused at the N-terminus to a GST-His₆-thrombin cleavage site sequence and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. IRAK family members play a role in IL-1 receptor-mediated inflammatory responses to IL-1 and LPS. IRAKs associate with IL-1/Toll receptors after IL-1 or LPS stimulation to mediate NF-kB activation. Specific activity: ≥480 U/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to transfer 1 nmol phosphate to Poly(Glu,Tyr)_4:1 per min at 30°C using variable concentrations of ATP (0.1-13.4 µM).
