Recombinant, human MAPKAPK5 fused at the N-terminus to a GST-His6-thrombin cleavage site tag and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. MAPKAPK5 is a member of the serine/threonine kinase family that mediates stress-induced small heat shock protein 27 phosphorylation. Specific activity: ≥2 U/mg protein.
