This recombinant protein has been modified from the native sequence to enhance stability and specific activity. NOTE: 1 MU = 1,000,000 units. Activity: ≥2 x 105 units/ml. Specific activity: ≥5 x 106 units/mg protein. One unit of interferon per ml of medium is the quantity necessary to cause 50% inhibition of EMCV-induced cytopathic effect on mouse L929 cells.
