rmIL-6

Lyophilized. Lyophilized from sterile-filtered 50 mM NaOAc, 1 mM EDTA, 5% trehalose, 50 µg BSA/µg IL-6 pH 4.0. Recombinant, mouse interleukin-6 expressed in E. coli. Stimulates the production of acute phase proteins by hepatocytes. Induces growth and differentiation of B cells, hepatocytes, keratinocytes, and nerve cells. Does not inhibit any significant activity on human cells. Biological activity: ED50 = 20-60 pg/ml as measured in a cell proliferation assay with a factor-dependent plasmacytoma cell line. Purity: ≥97% by SDS-PAGE. Contaminants: Endotoxin: ≤1 EU/µg IL-6.
