mant-GMPPNP 2′/3′-O-(N-Methylanthraniloyl)-guanosine-5′-[(b,g)-imido]triphosphate, Triethylammonium Salt 2′/3′-O-(N-Methylanthraniloyl)-b,g-imidoguanosine-5′-triphosphate, Triethylammonium Salt Liquid. A 5 mM solution in H2O. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. A more lipophilic, fluorescent derivative of the GTP-hydrolysis-resistant GTP analog, GppNHp. Useful for investigating the interactions of low molecular weight GTP-binding proteins with their specific effector proteins. Acts as a potent, competitive inhibitor of adenylyl cyclase (AC; Ki = 161 nM and 155 nM in forskolin/Mn2+-stimulated AC in S49 cyc- membranes and insect cell membranes, respectively). Shown to bind to Go-proteins with high affinity, Gsa-Gia-proteins with low affinity, and ineffective at activating Ga. Purity: ≥95% by HPLC. Excitation max.: 280 or 355, Emission max.: 440 Ref.: Gille, A., and Seifert, R. 2003. J. Biol. Chem. 278, 12672. Diebold, B.A., and Bokoch, G.M. 2001. Nat. Immunol. 2, 211.
