2′/3′-O-(N-Methylanthraniloyl)-guanosine-5′-(g-thio)triphosphate, Triethylammonium Salt 2′/3′-O-(N-Methylanthraniloyl)-g-thioguanosine-5′-triphosphate, Triethylammonium Salt mGTPgS Liquid. A 5 mM solution in H2O. PROTECT FROM LIGHT. A more lipophilic, fluorescent derivative of the GTP-hydrolysis-resistant GTP analog, GTPgS (Cat. No. 371545). Useful for investigating the interactions of low molecular weight GTP-binding proteins with their specific effector proteins. Acts as a potent, competitive inhibitor of adenylyl cyclase (AC; Ki = 53 nM in forskolin/Mn2+-stimulated AC in S49 cyc- membranes). Shown to bind to Go-proteins with high affinity, Gsa-Gia-proteins with low affinity, and ineffective at activating Ga. Purity: ≥95% by HPLC. Ref.: Gille, A., and Seifert, R. 2003. J. Biol.
