MMP-17 Catalytic Domain

Liquid. In 150 mM NaCl, 50 mM Tris-HCl, 5 mM CaCl2, 0.1% TRITON® X-100 Detergent, pH 7.5. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human pro-MT4-MMP fused at the C-terminus to a His•Tag® sequence, expressed in E. coli as a periplasmic protein and activated to yield the active catalyic domain. MT4-MMP catalytic domain can be used to study the biological function of MT4-MMP and its interactions with other matrix metalloproteases. Specific activity: ≥8 mU/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will hydrolyze 1.0 µmol MCA-Pro-Leu-Gly-Leu-Dpa-Ala-Arg-NH2 (Cat. No. 03-32-5032) per min at 37°C, pH 7.5. Purity: ≥80% by SDS-PAGE. Note: 1 mU = 1 milliunit.
