Liquid. In 10 mM potassium phosphate buffer, 1 mM DTT, 100 µM EDTA, 20% glycerol, pH 7.7. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human NADPH-P450 oxidoreductase expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. A membrane bound flavoprotein containing one mole each of FAD and FMN. Transfers electrons from NADPH to the various isoforms of cytochrome P450. Typically used at ratio 1:10 to 1:2 (reductase:P450) for in vitro reconstitution assays. Suitable for in vitro drug metabolism and toxicology research including reconstituted P450-dependent biotransformation reactions. Specific activity: ≥20 units/mg protein. One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will oxidize 1 µmol of cytochrome c per min at 20°C, pH 7.7. Purity: ≥90% by SDS-PAGE. EC 1.6.2.4.
