Liquid. Sterile-filtered in 50 mM NaCl, 20 mM HEPES, 1 mM DTT, 20% glycerol, pH 8.0. AVOID FREEZE/THAW CYCLES. Recombinant, human cIAP-1 (amino acids 1-618) fused to the peptide sequence MATVIDH₁₀SSNG at the N-terminus and expressed in E. coli. cIAP is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis family of proteins that inhibits proteolytic activity of mature caspases by interaction of the BIR domain with the active caspase. Biological activity: EC₅₀ = 25-1000 nM to decrease the rate of DEVD-AFC cleavage in activated cell extracts.. Purity: ≥85% by SDS-PAGE.
