Prolyl endopeptidase is a member of the serine protease family. These enzymes have been implicated in a wide range of physiological processes including as degradation of certain peptide hormones and neuropeptides and in regulation of blood pressure and neurological disorders. Active from pH 5.5 to 9.5. Specific activity: ≥15 units/mg protein. Activity is determined by measuring the rate of hydrolysis of the chromogenic substrate, N-Tosylglycyl-L-prolyl-4-nitroanilide.
